The Art Deco Weekend held January 18th-20th, 2008, is one of the more anticipated events in Miami. They are devoted to celebrating and showing off the popular art style that has defined Miami for years now. There is so much to do at this event, you will be glad it is open for several days. This Miami event is home to many different tours people of all ages can enjoy. There is a walking tour of the art deco district, an underworld tour that crime buffs will enjoy as well as a kids tour. Another feature of the Art Deco weekend are lectures that will give visitors more insight into the style. These lectures will be held at the Wolfsonian-FIU and a free to attend. The event starts at 7:30, so be sure to arrive early to make sure you get a great spot. There will be antique cars on display as well as bands, tap dancers and much more.
