Over the past decade we have seen the Miami Skyline changed dramatically. A majority of these changes have been made just over the past three years. Miami's Skyline is now crowded with a mix of high rises and construction cranes.
The Miami real estate market is extremely dynamic, the main Miami preconstruction condos development areas are, Downtown, Brickell, Edgewater, the Miami River as well as Coral Gables. A large number of older Miami buildings are disappearing to give birth to luxury hi rise buildings.
The new Miami Skyline, a steel concrete and glass "forest" is emerging fast. The velocity and the wide scale of this real estate redevelopment is unprecedented in Florida. It is estimated that more than 100 real estate projects are in the pipeline, either already in a construction phase or in a planning stage. Those projects are mainly residential buildings that will deliver close to 60,000 condominiums units within the upcoming 5 years. A 74 story building will be built and will be the tallest skyscraper in Florida.
The Miami commercial real estate market is also very strong, it is estimated that 4 million square feet of new retail space will come on the market in the immediate future. Heavy real estate investments came from Latin America, the north east of the United States and last but not least from Europe, where European investors are banking on a strong Euro to acquire Miami’s real estate properties.
