If you love dancing, there are plenty of festivals in Florida to enjoy. One you will not want to miss is Flamenco Festival Miami. 2008 marks the festival’s first year on the calendar of Miami events. It will be held from February 7-9, 2008 at the Knight Concert Hall.

The festivities open on the 7th with Cuatro Esquinas, Carmen Lianres and Miquel oveda, two of the best in the genre will sing while Pastora Galván dances for the crowd. Tomatito Quintet, featuring the Grammy-winning artist will be held on the 8th at 8 PM. He will also be joined by dancers. Mujeres, a tribute to all the women who have made their mark on the genre, will be held on the 9th. Additionally, this newest addition to the Miami events family will feature classes and workshops so visitors can learn how to dance in this popular style. And what festival would be complete without a party? There will be several held here.

The festival is meant to celebrate the past, present and future of the art form and introduce people to the genre. Most of the performances held during the Florida festival will reflect this.
