Miami guide introduces one of the newer
Miami restaurants,
Cafeina. Opened in late January, 2010 Cafeina is nestled between two warehouse in the Wynwood District. This 1,500 square foot stylish version of Starbucks features a restaurant, art gallery, outdoor garden and menu of all sorts of caffeine-infused cocktails. The tapas style menu features things like mini Kobe burgers, tuna tacos and shrimp lollipops. Martha Stewart praised executive Chef Guily Booth for his crab cakes saying they were the best she's ever had.
Cafeina was at one time part of a flooring factory the owner used to have, but has since been transformed into a lounge type eatery plus art gallery. The 17 foot stone walls a great for the eclectic collection of art. The high end leather seating with fluffy throw pillows is bordered on one side by a bar filled with coffee beans and a mezzanine area above.
