Coral Gables is home to dozens of Miami art galleries. Many of them are located within two blocks of Ponce de Leon Boulevard, which runs north and south through the heart of the downtown area. Most of the Miami art galleries are within a mile-long stretch of the boulevard bisected by Miracle Mile, the Gables’ main east-west shopping and dining thoroughfare. The Miami art galleries you find in Coral Gables specialize mostly in contemporary art that comes created by Latin American artists living in South Florida. The Latin American artists tend to use bold and vivid hues much different from the conservative tones of the North European painters. Many Miami art galleries in the Grove serve wine to their visitors and some even offer light snacks.
