One of the most anticipated Miami Beach attractions and the city’s newest landmark is 1111 Lincoln Road. Located on the  West end of Lincoln Road Mall this parking garage will have ground level retail, a few of residences as well as a restaurant on top. The City of Miami Beach has hopes it will bring tourists that like shopping in Miami and more Miami Beach attractions to that side of city. Built by Herzog & De Meuron the extraordinary, sculptural facility had its first retail tenants open their doors along the new water garden and public meeting place.

Journelle Lingerie, Nespresso Cafe, MAC Cosmetics and Taschen Books are a few of the new retailers. The second stage of the project begins next year and we are expected to see Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack and a number of upscale retailers for more shopping in Miami.

This newest of the Miami Beach attractions will spread over 40,000 square feet of street level retail space including three restaurants. Planned for the fifth floor is a unique, glass-enclosed shop. South Beach Cinema is just across the street and the 1111 Lincoln building will provide much needed parking space for them and the rest of Lincoln Road Mall. Topping things off, a rooftop restaurant with panoramic ocean, bay and city views should provide a dazzling finish to the impressive project.
