The Miami International Film Festival will be held like every year for the past 23 years in March 2007 from the 2nd to the 11 th. It was also announced that the director of the festival will step down of her responsibilities.

The festival was undoubtely very successful in the past and has certainly a bright future, attracting an ever increasing amount of attendees every year. 112 films will be presented this year from 43 countries, including Spain, France etc. Films being featured are considered the finest films produced in the world, but of course not necessary the most commercial. The Opening night will feature a movie by the famous Paul Verhoeven called the "Black Book", the award night film will be "Ira and Abby" from director Robert Cary.
