Miami International Airport (MIA) is the third busiest airport in the United States. The Airport hosts over 100 airlines that serve over 150 cities worldwide. With nearly 30 million passengers and 417,000 takeoffs and landings in a typical year, it is not uncommon for 100,000 travelers to pass through the airport in a single day. No doubt Miami International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the U.S. and in the World.

Miami Airport is very modern and has all the amenities for the comfort of the travelers such as Miami hotels, restaurants, convenient stores, duty-free shops, and much more. A huge parking lot is provided by the airport for travelers and people in transit. Car rental companies offer their services right in the airport where travelers can book or rent from luxury to affordable cars. Luxury car rentals of Miami serving visitors at the airport might no offer the best deals, so do not forget to check average prices only before your trip.

Just 30 minutes drive to South Beach, Miami Beaches and 20 minutes to Downtown Miami is perfectly located in the heart of the City of Miami. Main highways are connected to the airport what makes easy to travelers from any point from the county to get to it. Consequently, where you are staying in is not a big issue. You can choose from any Miami hotel or Miami holiday apartment in greater Miami, and surely you will be near the airport.

Miami Airport has one main terminal building with eight concourses (A - H) extending from it. Each serves several airlines and a large number of destinations.


Driving Directions:

From the North (Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, North Miami, and Palm Beach):
Take I-95 South to State Road 112. Continue on the State Road 112 connector to the airport.

From the Southwest (Homestead, Kendall, and West Miami):
Take State Road 826 North or the Turnpike North to 836 East. Exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42nd Avenue) and follow signs to the airport.

From Downtown Miami:
Take I-95 North to State Road 836 West. Exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42nd Avenue) and follow signs to the airport.

From the South Beach Area:
Take westbound MacArthur Causeway to State Road 836 West. Exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42nd Avenue) and follow signs to the airport.

From Coconut Grove / Coral Gables:
Take LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42nd Avenue) and follow signs to the airport.
