The 46th
Coconut Grove Arts Festival was a huge success with heavy attendance. According to the
Miami city guide, this is a major annual
event in South Florida. The massive crowds, heavy traffic and scarcity of
parking spots were ingredients of a successful Miami event. We now know for next year that it is better to get there early to avoid the congestion. Due to the current economical crisis, 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival visitors had to pay $7 to gain entrance this year.
Fortunately, this entrance fee did not deter anybody from attending. The 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival is all about fine art and food. As explained in the Miami city guide, fine art booths displayed paintings, photos, sculptures, objects and jewels. Also, Coconut Grove chefs participated in culinary demonstrations for 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival visitors. Food pavilions offered foods from all over the world. Several local groups provided musical performances and entertainment. The weekend was gorgeous and attendees seemed to have a great time at the 2009 Coconut Grove Arts Festival. There was an increase in the occupancy of
Miami vacation rentals, as well.
