The Wynwood Art District is an area of Miami, Florida north of downtown that has become pretty popular thanks to its growing population of premier art galleries and museums. Nowadays, there are 70 high-end galleries in Wynwood, including Spinello and David Castillo Gallery, Fredric Snitzer, Kevin Bruk, and Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery. All the galleries are around shops and clothing wholesalers with concrete fronts freshly painted in purples, pinks and charcoals giving to the area a bohemian feeling. Besides the art movement of the district, there is a night scene that it is going strong. In this popular area in Miami, several sophisticated restaurants and nightclubs have opened in order to serve Miami’s young art elite. The second Saturday of each month is gallery night in Wynwood District, and the galleries put together special events and receptions. Nevertheless, even on nights when there are not receptions, the nightlife is still lively. Circa 28, a popular nightclub that opened in Wynwood in December 2007, is a preferred location to party with an unconventional style. With its abstract paintings hanging on the walls, and young artists sat dreamily under bookshelves, Circa 28 surely provides a very different atmosphere.
