Posted on Friday, 02.27.2009 Arteamericas, the country's largest premier Latin American art fair, is returning to Miami for the 7th year in a row from Friday, March 27th to Monday, March 30th. The four-day event showcases the latest paintings, multimedia and sculptures from 70 different galleries. The 2009 Arteamericas participating galleries include the best from Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Peru and Spain. The 2009 Arteamericas showcased artists include contemporary artists and internationally well-known artists such as Fernando Botero, Rufino Tamayo, Armando Rever"n, Lygia Clark, Le"n Ferrari and Joaquín Torres-García. The art on display at the 2009 Arteamericas will range from $2,000 to nearly one million dollars. Some of the Miami events prominent participating art institutions from South Florida include MAM (Miami Art Museum), Lowe Art Museum and Bass Museum of Art. The Miami events admission is FREE between 12:00PM and 2:00PM. After 2:00PM, tickets are $12.
