For the past 7 years, the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden has hosted the Annual International Orchid Festival events in Miami. The 2009 Fairchild's 7th Annual International Orchid Festival will be held the weekend of Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th from 9:30AM to 4:30PM. The 2009 Fairchild's 7th Annual International Orchid Festival will offer great food, entertainment and over 50 vendors selling more than 10,000 orchid plants. Walking tours and garden workshops will be provided for guests to enjoy.
The new Orchid Tea Room will be open to guests at these events in Miami and serving teas and desserts. The Orchid Society of Coral Gables will be at the 2009 Fairchild's 7th Annual International Orchid Festival to present an array of rare orchids in the American Orchid Society juried show. Guests at the 2009 Fairchild's 7th Annual International Orchid Festival are invited to appreciate the beautiful Fairchild monumental sculpture garden which presents artwork from well-known artists such as Fernando Botero, Mark di Suvero, Dale Chihuly, Kris Martin and Daisy Youngblood.
