Calle Ocho is the city’s largest annual party and is known as the largest street festival on earth. An estimated 1 million people attend the Miami events festival every year. The 2009 Miami Calle Ocho Festival will be held on March 15th from 11:00AM to 7:00PM and admission is free. The Miami events party covers 23 blocks in Miami’s Little Havana and is divided into 3 different zones catering to different interests. Live music in different styles floats through the Miami events air all day. Different bands and musicians perform across the Miami events 30 stages at each block intersection. Some of the Miami events different musical styles include salsa, reggaeton, merengue and more. The 2009 Miami Calle Ocho Festival runs along SW 8th street from 27th Avenue to 4th Avenue.
The 2009 Miami Calle Ocho Festival has a KidzZone which caters to children with events, international food, drinks and special cultural displays and workshops.
