The 2008 Miami Carnival is the 24th Annual event that brings live bands and calypsonians from the Caribbean Islands to Miami. The 2008 Miami Carnival will be in Downtown Miami’s Bicentennial Park on October 12th. Tickets run at $20 per person and anyone under the age of 12 gets in free.

The 2008 Miami Carnival grew from a small neighborhood festival to an international event within the first two years after its origination in 1984. The Carnival is the unification of the original West Indian American Day Carnival Association with previously rivaling Caribbean American Carnival and the Carnival Association of South Florida. The two competing Events in Miami Florida previously held their carnivals on the same date.

Presently, the 2008 Miami Carnival is North America’s most popular Carnival and the highest profit-generating festival in South Florida. Guests book airfare and hotel accommodations as early as the November the year before each event.
