Miami Beach lodging options such as a hostel in Miami Beach are regulated by the state of Florida by an organization called the Division Bureau of Professional Regulation, also known as DBPR. A hostel in Miami Beach and hostels in other Florida cities are defined by article 509 of Florida statutes as public lodging establishments.

Public lodging establishments are made of several subcategories including but not limited to: hotels, motels, transient apartments. Hostels are not namely cited but are included in this definition.



The DBPR regulates Miami Beach lodging including any hostel in Miami Beach to make sure that consumers are protected and life safety standards are being respected.
