Finally, after making consumers wait nearly a decade, Apple's finally unveiled their Apple iPad. The 9.7-inch capacitive touch screen IPS LCD display is gorgeous, about a half-inch thick and weighs only 1.5 pounds. With a 10-hour battery life and a month of standby it’s running a custom 1GHz Apple "A4" chip.

April 3rd, Apple iPads with Wi-Fi wireless connections will go on sale for $499 and up. Apple Inc. says people can pre-order online and have it delivered on April 3. Consumers can also reserve an Apple iPad online, and pick it up at a local Apple store.

Apple had up an estimated 91,000 sales in six hours on Friday the first day that buyers could pre-order the Apple iPad. Analysts predict the first-year sales could reach 5 million.
