Miami Beach Parks - South Beach Guide

After $22 million in restorations newly-renovated South Pointe Park reopened to the public in March 2009. At 19 acres South Pointe Park is one of the largest Miami Beach parks.  With its picturesque location, creative landscaping, and modern recreational facilities, the money was well spent.

South Pointe Park runs along Government Cut between the Atlantic Ocean and the marinas along Biscayne Bay. The park’s pedestrian friendly walkway runs along the Government Cut to the ocean and back around. At any given time of day while strolling along this scenic walkway you’ll see all sorts of water activity from jet-skis to huge cargo ships.

The park features a children's playground, an event pavilion, doggie stations and beach access.  South Pointe Park is a great place for going to the beach, having a picnic, tossing a ball around, or bringing your dog for a walk.
