2008 is going to be a great year for lovers of the arts. From February 16th to the 18th, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival will be held. This Miami event, which attracts over 100,000 every year, is one of the biggest Florida Art Festivals. The festival will be open each day from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM and is held in the streets of Coconut Grove. While it offers the chance to see great art and meet with the artists themselves, it is also a place to encourage talent. The Kids Creative Corner, which will be held outside the Coconut Grove Women’s Club on South Bayshore Drive, offers your kids the chance to explore their creativity for only 5.00 an hour. Like most Miami Events, there are some things to keep in mind. The organizers will not allow any skateboards, bikes, skates or large signs at the Florida Fair to ensure the safety of all visitors. They will also not permit any alcohol or pets. Seeing Eye/Service dogs are the only exception. For additional information about this event, please check out the website at www.coconutgroveartsfest.com or call (305) 447-5915. You can buy products from the online store, help support them or learn more about the Artist Award Dinner and Thank You Party, also to be held this year. While the Award Dinner recognizes the best of the participants, the Thank You Dinner celebrates everyone who has helped to make the festival possible.
