Posted on Tuesday, 01.06.2009 On Sunday, April 19th, 2009, EarthFest 2009 will celebrate our planet, the Greater Everglades Bioregion and the possibility of a more sustainable future. The purpose of this Miami event is to communicate a hopeful and positive message that individuals may contribute to a more sustainable world through their everyday actions and choices. Earth Learning is a non-profit whose focus is to support and inspire others to create sustaining activities, projects and ventures. EarthFest 2009 will take place from 10AM to 8PM at the Crandon Park Visitors’ and Nature Center in Key Biscayne. Local musical groups including Spam Allstars will perform for guests at EarthFest 2009. Come and enjoy the Miami events eco demonstrations, workshops, interactive exhibits, tours, Discovery Lab, Kidz Corner and vegetarian, vegan and green vendors. Feel free to bring blankets or chairs while you enjoy the bands. Free water refills will be provided for anyone who brings a water bottle. Participate in the drum circle and bring your own drum or instrument.
