2009 South Beach Comedy Festival, Miami events

The South Beach Comedy Festival is an annual Miami event sponsored in part by Comedy Central. This Florida festival not only showcases the best of today’s stand up comedians, but tomorrow’s as well.

This high-profile Miami event takes place from January 21st through the 24th and will be held in the Fillmore, Lincoln Theater, or Colony Theater, all which are centrally located in the heart of Miami Beach. Some of the entertainers include: Cheech & Chong, Kim Norton, Marga Gomez, Fernando Arau, Dave Barry, Daniel Tosh, and Lewis Black.

Every year, there is also a free stage on Lincoln Road showcasing up-coming comics that compete to be crowned the winner of the night. The “So You Think You Are Funny” comedy contest is affiliated with the South Florida Improv Comedy Club to find the next comedy star.
