One of the many annual Florida festivals devoted to food is the International Mango Festival. Held at Fairchild Tropical Garden in July, the Miami event going to be a big one. South Florida would not have it any other way. There is so much in store, you will be glad it lasts a couple of days.
In 2008, The International Mango Festival will celebrate its 16th year of bringing its guests the best Mangos Florida has to offer. Many local cultivators will be on hand to sell mangos, trees and even offer advice on how to grow your own. There will also be lectures about the history on Mangos, the types of Mangos out there and other similar topics. In addition, there will be cooking demonstrations and plenty of great drinks and dishes featuring the tropical fruit. The Miami event is a family-friendly gathering that will also provide plenty of activities aimed directly at kids.
