Everyone knows that Hispanic culture is a huge part of life in Miami. Travel the city and you are sure to see your fair share of restaurants and stores with Spanish writing or hear people speaking the language on the streets. Some of our most popular TV and radio stations are in Spanish as well. It is no surprise that many Miami events celebrate the Hispanic culture.

One of these Florida festivals is the Festival Puertorriqueno Del Plátano (Puerto Rican Plantain Festival). The event will be held at the Iglesia Rio de Esperanza (River of Hope Church) on SW 40th street. It is a chance to take part in all the wonderful things Hispanic culture has to offer. The Miami event starts at noon on January 13th and is a relatively inexpensive way to spend the day. For only 10.00, you will be able to enjoy great music, food, and much more. For parents, it is a great way to expose your children to the diversity that exists in the world. Even better, children under 12 get in free!

Ballet Aromas de Puerto Rico and 2004 Grammy Nominees Truco & Zaperoko will be on hand to provide entertainment for the crowd as well as others.
