The Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Race is a much-loved staple among Miami events, and it is coming again in 2008! This annual Florida festival will be held on April 19th and 20th. While the focus for many will be on the big race and seeing who will be the winner that is not all there is to this Miami Event. There will also be a wide array of family-friendly activities to keep guests of all ages happy.
Kids have plenty to do here. There is a bounce house, face painting, laser tag and much more planned. For the older kids, there is a singing competition. Middle and High School students will be able to show off their talents in this event for the chance to win gift certificates. There is even a Miami-Dade police K-9 demonstration that will be sure to thrill them. There will also be a pancake breakfast held each day to help keep everyone going throughout the event.
There is also a charitable aspect to this Florida festival. While admission and parking are free, proceeds from the breakfasts as well as donations from the sponsors go to help people with mental and physical disabilities. Guests will get to see these sponsors and their products on Saturday. The same day, there will be an education station devoted to increasing awareness of disabilities and what is being done to overcome them.
