Miami Bars - Miami Guide

Miami Guide - Are you getting bored of the beer selection at local Miami bars? Do you wonder why the menu for the decorative fruity drinks is larger than the beer selection? Well you are in luck because this Miami guide has scouted out local joints and the best bars in Miami for beer. Here we go:

1.   Zeke's Roadhouse
Located on Lincoln Road you will find that the “seat yourself” sidewalk seating area is 3 times as large as the inside bar that has enough room at the bar to seat maybe seven people.  But this doesn’t keep Zeke’s from being one of the best bars in Miami for beer. They stock over 80 beers, about 60 of which are imports, mainly from the Caribbean and South America, as well as Asia.

On draft Zeke’s has, 12 outstanding choices including, 12 Anchor Steam, Purple Haze (raspberry wheat ale) and Young's Chocolate Stout. And the best part about this place? Every beer on the menu is only $4.

2.   The Room
This is one of the smaller Miami bars but has a big selection. The Room is for serious beer drinkers and posh party people. Around 10 crowd’s pour in to this trendy, posh bar with its chic décor eager to choose from among 60 beers and a good quantity of quality wines including Lindemans Framboise Lambic, Warsteiner and Lost Coast Great White, a white ale from California.

The Room has 8 choices of drafts: Magners Irish Cider, Boddingtons and the Great White and all $6 or less. You can order beer for one, or bigger bottles priced for sharing ($10-$20).

3.   Titanic Restaurant and Brewery
There’re not many local, home grown beer breweries in South Florida but at the Titanic Restaurant and Brewery located near University of Miami you can even watch beer being made. Titanic make nine of the beers it has on tap, including three seasonal selections. The Porthole Sampler at $4.50 is a good choice if it’s your first time. We also recommend Titanic's regular house beers, including the award-winning Triple Screw Light Ale, Boiler Room Nut Brown Ale and Captain Smith's Rye Ale.

Titanic Restaurant and Brewery
is great for sports lovers with its multiple big screen TVs. Titanic offers up great music as well as a full bar with wine list and great food.

Located:
5813 Ponce De Leon Boulevard
Coral Gables, Fl

4.   Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant
This classy downtown restaurant is a bit fancier than Miami bars list above however they have six different kinds of house brews, mostly lager, that are excellent.  Gordon Biersch's signatures consist of Golden Export, Hefeweizen, Czech Lager, Märzen and Schwarzbier. At the 2004 Great American Beer Festival, the golden, medium-bodied Czech Lager was a gold medal winner.

Gordon Biersch is located in13 states and Washington, D.C. and has 17 locations. They have a great pomegranate mojito but the beer is definitely the star of the show. Don't leave without trying the food.
