Unveiling of the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach

So it finally happened. The much anticipated celebration of the unveiling for the new Fountainebleau Miami Beach after its $1 billion renovation took place on Friday, November 14th, 2008. Mariah Carey and Robin Thicke performed at the party and about 2,000 invitation-only guests attended the party’s headliner event, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show featuring 35 Angels including Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima. Deborah Harry of Blondie sat in the crowd, watching Mariah Carey’s performance.

Heidi Klum made sure to tell husband, Seal, “I love you” during her first trip down the runway. Many celebrities made it to the celebration including Pharrell, Sean Combs, Russell Simmons, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Martha Stewart, Kate Hudson, Amanda Bynes, Terrence Howard, John Stamos, Jason Lewis and Chloe Sevigny.

Paris Hilton showed up wearing an elegant dark green dress. Godfather costars, James Caan and Robert Duvall talked and hung out on the couch while Gwyneth Paltrow, good friend of Madonna, hung out with A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez) by the stairs. Anthony Michael, the dweeb from Sixteen Candles, was also around.

Guests enjoyed buffets of lobster, crab, myriad meats and Scarpetta, Gotham and Vida Steak and champagne.

The after party was at LIV nightclub. Gossip Girl’s Michelle Trachtenberg, Laguna Beach’s Kristin Cavallari, The Hill’s Brody Jenner and Extra’s Mario Lopez lounged around in the VIP area’s plush, white couches.
