Every year Miami hosts the gay film festival Miami which lasts a week and is held in various locations throughout the city. A series of amateur and professional gay films are played at the Bank of America Tower, Parrot Jungle Island, and The Colony Theater. These films portray documentaries as well as drama genres. For ten days in the month of April, the gay locals and tourists enjoy the art of cinematography at a whole new level.
This gay South Beach event also hosts additional events which run from June through February. The 10th annual celebration is in 2008, with bigger and better screening from April 25 through May 4th, 2008.
