The Winter Party Gay Miami event is a long awaited event for gay South Beach. The week long Winter Party takes place once a year every March. Gay locals and tourists come out with pride to celebrate the end of not-so-cold Miami winter. Many gay South Beach venues host special nights during this week making it an eventful week for all the gay and lesbians who travel to Miami to celebrate and support.
The climax of the Winter Party Gay Miami event is an outdoor club on the beach at 14th and Ocean Drive. The gay South Beach events include pool parties at popular South Beach hotels, kayak excursions, and guest performances. The events are socially and culturally oriented and include dance, comedy, sports, and art among others.
This gay Miami event fundraises over $1 million from the 10,000 participants. The profits go to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual (LGBT) community. The Winter Party
