The Art Deco district is located at the southern tip of Miami Beach. It is the only place in the United States that has been designated a National Historic District. It has become famous for it’s beaches and it’s nightlife, as well as for it’s architecture.

More than 800 buildings that were built in the 30’ and 40’s are what give the Art Deco district it’s distinct style. Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue, and Washington Avenue constitute the Art Deco section of South Beach, which has also been named the ‘American Riviera’.

The local residents are quite eccentric, and it is also a hot spot for celebrities. Ocean Drive, with it’s distinct Art Deco style buildings, colors, hotels restaurants, and neon lights has become a favorite place to dine out, go dancing, or simply walk around and enjoy the beautiful, festive atmosphere and colors. Jerry’s Famous Deli is a classic favorite if you would like to dine in typical Art Deco style.

A National Historic District that has been transformed into one of the trendiest and most fashionable places in the world! A place worth visiting.

You can take a typical walking tour by the Art Deco district where you can learn the history and architecture of South Beach.
