Aventura is one of the newer cities in Florida, having been incorporated in 1995. It is history actually goes back a bit further, though. In the 1970's, the roots of the city were planted when some condos of the same name were built in a swampy area near the city of Miami. You might not be able to find some of the classic architecture and historic sights of other cities here, but Aventura offers plenty of “adventure” for its visitors.
Perhaps the most famous Miami attraction is the Aventura Mall. With over 250 stores and dining options, this is one of the biggest malls around. It also features a 24-screen Movie theater and 3 floors. Other great attractions in Aventura include the Founder’s Park and the Del Vist Tennis Courts. Aventura also aims to please the Jewish visitors by adhering to kosher standards. To this end, the city is home to several Miami kosher restaurants.
The Prime Grill Miami, located in the Waterway Shoppes at 3599 Northeast 207th Street, is one of them. It offers Cedar Planked Atlantic Salmon, Chicken, Sushi and more in an elegant setting you are sure to enjoy. You can either enjoy your meal in the main dining area, or take advantage of South Florida’s weather by eating on their patio.
Weber Café is another great option for kosher dining in Aventura. Serving French cuisine, they offer both indoor and outdoor dining. Coincidently, this is also located in
The Water Way Shops at 3565 NE 207th Street.
For visitors with a sweet tooth, you will want to visit Gallery of Cakes at 19206 W. Dixie Highway. They offer a variety of pastries that are under strict supervision to make sure they adhere to kosher standards. You can find them online at www.galleryofcakes.com.
