Most of the Miami Rockland Ridge used to cover what now is the A.D. “Doug” Barnes Park. Even though this part of that ecosystem is gone, the birds are still attracted to this part of the park. For many locals and tourists going to the park to watch the birds is one of the best things to do in Miami. The Barnes Park  is considered the best place to birdwatch, and has also become a habitat for the feathery animals. The city of Miami offers this attraction for guests to become more acquainted with nature.
