The Indian Key Historic Park is located on an island not far off the Florida Keys. The only way it is accessible is by water, either on a boat, kayak, or from a nearby marina since the park is not connected to the Overseas Highway. This historic park was the first county seat in Dade in 1836. The shoreline is surrounded by corals and rocks with abundance of sea life which also means that bigger animals such as dolphins, sharks, rays, and manatees are also not far away. This is a big Miami attraction as there are plenty of outdoor activities, some of which include, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking among others. This Miami attraction also offers snorkeling, of course, since it is a popular and major activity of the key as it offers crystal-clear waters with great views underneath the water just inches from the shore. Tours through the whole island are also available twice a day on the weekends from Thursday to Monday showcasing the guests the best of the Miami attraction while providing with historical background. At Indian Key Historic State Park, you will experience the sea life and nature away from the city at proximity of only a couple of inches away. Of the many things to do in Miami, a snorkeling trip to the Indian Key Historic State Park is one very worthwhile taking!
