The 14th annual South Florida Boat Show is coming to the Miami Beach Convention Center once again! The Miami boat show is a regional event that serves Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties. It will be held from June 8th through the 11th, 2007. Every year, thousands of people come to see the latest in boats, accessories, engines, fishing tackles, dive gear and more. Advertising is usually aggressive for the show. Radio, newspaper, TV ads and more are out there at least two weeks before the event to make sure everyone who wants to go will have plenty of time to make their plans. Attendants get the opportunity to purchase the latest models before the new models for 2008 come out. A wide range of boats are usually available from personal boats, water craft, to power boats as large as 40 feet. Other available products have included center consoles, walk arounds, inflatables and more! All the products available come from the biggest names in the business, including Bayliner and Sea Vee.

Seeing the newest boats are not all there is to do at the South Florida Boat Show. Last year's even featured daily seminars on boating, diving and more. There were also prizes awarded to visitors, such as last year's trip to Bimini. Everyone in attendance got the opportunity to win the trip in a drawing. The prize consisted of airfare, and 3 days / 2 nights at the Bimini Bay Resort and Casino. It was the ideal prize, as the exotic resort is located in the Bahamas, a mere 15 minutes away by plane ride! There were plenty of shops, casinos, and more to keep the winners busy during their stay.

Something else that is a mainstay of the show are the free seminars offered, providing a fun educational experience for people of all ages! Local captains led seminars teaching everything they have learned about fishing and they answered questions. Kids were able to get in on the fun with fishing seminars that were made especially for them. Last year, the star of children's show "Hook the Future" was there, bringing his trademark enthusiasm and joy, delighting all the kids in attendance. Prizes available to the seminar attendees included tackle bags provided by the best tackle companies around. Attendees were able to learn about a wide variety of topics from how to catch a lobster, to Coastal boating and fishing, how to get started in spear fishing, shallow water fishing and more. You could even learn how to get your Captain's License or how to Scuba dive. This year's event is sure to have just as varied a schedule as the years before.

To see what is on tap for the 2007 South Florida Boat Show, be sure to check the show's site often for updates on plans for this year progress, or keep an eye out for the ads that are sure to show up in the coming months. While in Miami, you should make some time to get around and visit popular attractions or maybe charter a boat to enjoy our fantastic weather and waters. If you are planning to attend this event in Miami, you must plan in advance since most of the times South Beach Hotels and Miami Vacation Rentals near by get packed and rates skyrocket.
