How and where to get a taxi?
Taxis are a great mode of transportation for Miami tourists. Taxi cabs are abundant throughout the city of Miami. It is easier to find a taxi in South Beach than in any of the other areas of Miami. Usually taxis can easily be found at the exit of commercial centers or malls such as Aventura Mall and Bal Harbour Shops. The best way to get a taxi cab is to call the company, and you will be granted a cab within minutes.
Flat rates are available from the airport, but to anywhere else around the city, the taxi fare begins at $1.70 for the first eleventh of a mile and 20 ¢ for each additional eleventh of a mile.
