The purpose of the Miami Art Deco Weekend is to attract visitors to Miami Beach’s Art Deco Historic District and raise awareness and appreciation of the arts and culture of the Art Deco era which existed from about 1925-1945. Miami Art Deco Weekend is a three-day annual event. This year is the 33rd of the Art Deco Weekend Miami events and it will be celebrated on January 15th to the 17th. The Miami events will be held in Miami Beach on Ocean Drive between 5th and 15th Street. Among different themes, Miami Art Deco Weekend 2010 will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Antique Automobile Club of America. The Miami Art Deco Weekend will feature over 85 different Miami events including:
- Guided tours
- Film series
- Lectures
- Antiques, art and collectibles vendors
- Variety of food vendors
- Musical attractions
- Theatrical performances
- Dance performances
- Classic automobiles
- Saturday morning parade
- Dog promenade and other events
Find parking at the 7th street garage between Washington and Collins, the 12th street garage just west of Washington Avenue, the 13th street garage just east of Collins and the 17th street garage at Convention Center Drive. The Art Deco Weekend Festival will be open:
- Friday 15 January 12:00 noon–11:00 pm
- Saturday 16 January: 10:00 am–11:00 pm
- Sunday 17 January: 10:00 am–8:00 pm
