Posted on Monday, 8.2.2010 Downtown Miami - Miami Real Estate The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) is in the process of turning Downtown Miami into the most livable urban center in the nation and increasing its position as the international center for commerce, culture, and Miami tourism. The board of directors for the Miami Downtown Development Authority voted unanimously to approve the 2025 Downtown Miami Master Plan, a 15-year roadmap for improving the livability and quality of life in the Downtown Miami area. The plan is to serve as a benchmark for promoting investment by both public and private sectors, enhancing the commercial and residential Miami real estate market, with the goal of transforming Miami’s urban core into the “Epicenter of the Americas.” There are five major goals outlined in the Master Plan for Downtown Miami which is the areas bordered at the South end by SE 15th Road and on the North by NE 22nd Street on the West by I-95 and on the East by Biscayne Bay: - Enhance Downtown Miami’s standing as the business and cultural epicenter of the Americas.
- Leverage the City’s beautiful and iconic tropical waterfront.
- Elevate Downtown’s grand boulevards to prominence.
- Create great streets and community spaces throughout the district.
- Promote transit and regional connectivity.
