Posted on Thursday, 7.22.2010 Miami Homes - Miami Real Estate According to new figures released by the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches, sales of Miami homes, condos and townhomes in Miami-Dade continued to rise, compared to the same month last year.
Realtors sold 33 percent more Miami condos and 1 percent more single-family Miami homes than they did in June of last year. Median sales prices for these Miami real estate properties were down for the year but up month-over-month.
In June, the median sales price for Miami condos in was $128,800, down 9 percent from this time last year but up 2 percent from May. In June the median sales price for a single-family home was $203,000, down 4 percent for the year but up 3.4 percent for the month.
Sales prices for Miami homes were down 5 percent for single-family homes and 16 percent for Miami condos, across the state of Florida. According to the National Association of Realtors, national sales of existing homes in June were down 5.1 percent from last month but up 9.8 percent June 2009, as seen in the chart below:
