Jazz in the Gardens is one of the most popular Miami events in South Florida. The City of Miami Gardens strives to become “the” winter spot for jazz lovers from all over the world. The 2009 Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival will feature great food, arts & crafts and, of course, musical performances. The 2009 Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival will take place from March 28th to March 29th at the Miami Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens. 2009 Sony Ericsson Open in Miami

As far as attendance to American events goes, The Sony Ericsson comes in second after the US Open. With over 200,000 guests, the Sony Ericsson Open is one of the largest sporting Miami events. The Miami events tournament features the world's top 96 men and 96 women in singles matches, and the top 32 men's and 32 women's teams in doubles matches. The 2009 Sony Ericsson Open will take place from March 25th to April 5th. The Miami events tournament takes place at the Key Biscayne Tennis Center at Crandon Park. Daily parking is provided at the nearby Virginia Key for just $10. Shuttles to the 2009 Sony Ericsson Open site are available and some can even take you to your Miami hotel or to Coconut Grove’s Cocowalk. Downtown Miami’s Bicentennial Park will, once again, welcome the highly anticipated Ultra Music Festival for its 11th Edition. The 2009 Ultra Music Festival is a 2-day event that is part of the massive Winter Music Conference. The 2009 Ultra Music Festival will take place on Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th. 2009 Fairchild's 7th Annual International Orchid

The Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden boasts a variety of exotic, unique and colorful flora. For the past 7 years, the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden has hosted the Annual International Orchid Festival events in Miami. The 2009 Fairchild's 7th Annual International Orchid Festival will be held the weekend of Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th from 9:30AM to 4:30PM. 2009 Coral Gables Wine & Food Festival

Republic National Distributing Company presents the 6th annual Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida Coral Gables Wine & Food Festival. One day every year, the 100 block of Giralda Avenue, between Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Galiano Street in Coral Gables, is closed off to cars and limited to foot traffic only. The 2009 Coral Gables Wine & Food Festival will take place on Thursday, March 26th. Guests can enjoy cuisine from over 30 of Coral Gables’ top award-winning restaurants as well as fabulous wines and live entertainment by Live Bait, Bergman Pazs and Sonido Batido. These annual events in Miami are known as South Florida’s most prestigious charity events in Miami. Proceeds from the 2009 Coral Gables Wine & Food Festival will benefit The American Lung Association of Florida-South Area’s lung research, education and patient assistance programs and The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s International Bronchitis Center.

2009 Miami Calle Ocho Festival

Every year in March, Miami brings the popular 2-week Carnaval Miami to a close with the big Calle Ocho Festival. Calle Ocho is the city’s largest annual party and is known as the largest street festival on earth. An estimated 1 million people attend the Miami events festival every year. The 2009 Miami Calle Ocho Festival will be held on March 15th from 11:00AM to 7:00PM and admission is free. The Miami events party covers 23 blocks in Miami’s Little Havana and is divided into 3 different zones catering to different interests. Live music in different styles floats through the Miami events air all day. Different bands and musicians perform across the Miami events 30 stages at each block intersection.  Some of the Miami events different musical styles include salsa, reggaeton, merengue and more. 2009 Arteamericas in Miami

Arteamericas, the country's largest premier Latin American art fair, is returning to Miami for the 7th year in a row from Friday, March 27th to Monday, March 30th. The four-day event showcases the latest paintings, multimedia and sculptures from 70 different galleries. The 2009 Arteamericas participating galleries include the best from Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Peru and Spain.

The 2009 Arteamericas showcased artists include contemporary artists and internationally well-known artists such as Fernando Botero, Rufino Tamayo, Armando Rever"n, Lygia Clark, Le"n Ferrari and Joaquín Torres-García. The art on display at the 2009 Arteamericas will range from $2,000 to nearly one million dollars.
