In 2008 the City of North Miami passed a new law that banned the operation of single family home short term rentals.  Some right holders were “grandfathered” in and exempt from the law.
 
Vacation renters should ask for a copy of certification by the City of North Miami before renting to avoid risk of eviction from their rented vacation property. At this time, it is estimated that no more than 3 Miami vacation rental agencies will be able to continue operating short term rentals in North Miami.
 
These restrictions apply to all areas of North Miami including Keystone point and Sans Souci.
