The City of North Miami Beach is passing a new law, effective late 2009 or early 2010, which will ban single family home short term rentals. “Grandfathered in” right holders are exempt from this law.
Business tax receipts for
Miami vacation rental operators will be required; vacation renters are responsible for requesting a copy of certification by the City of North Miami Beach before renting; otherwise, they run the risk of eviction from the rented vacation property.
At this time, it is estimated that no more than 4 vacation rental agencies will be able to continue operating Miami short term rentals. All areas of North Miami Beach including Eastern Shores are affected by this new law.
