2011 Aqua Girl Miami - Events in Miami
2011 Aqua Girl Miami, the largest women’s charity event in Miami and the country, kicks off on May 15th 2011. Thousands of women will flock to Miami Beach this year to join their friends for four days and fourteen events in Miami Beach and throughout South Beach. 2011 Aqua Girl Miami is the largest event of its kind, with 100% of proceeds going to the Aqua Foundation for Women (AFW). The AFW is a non-profit-foundation with a mission to promote the equality, visibility and wellbeing of women.
Aqua Girl was originally created in 1999 by Alison Burgos, now co-owner of Pandora Events, and Shescape produced a one-night event to benefit breast cancer research. This is the most popular fundraiser for the LGBT women of South Florida and it continues to grow each year with new events in Miami attracting women from all over the world.
For the 12th year in a row, 2011 Aqua Girl Miami brings with it numerous women's events in Miami and around South Beach with some of the hottest DJs and recording artists from around the world. This year’s Aqua Girl Miami calendar of events May 2011 will include dance parties at South Beach nightclubs, a comedy night with a nationally-known comic, a pool party, a beach party, cocktail receptions, a women's jazz brunch, a gourmet dining event, a girls' rock concert, a women's art exhibit and more.
