More than four decades ago the modern-day cruise industry began at the Miami cruise port. Since that time, the Port of Miami has undeniably been the Cruise Capital of the World and has continued to build upon its fortunate reputation as the finest home port anywhere. Today the Miami cruise port is home to the world’s most renowned cruise lines that include: Azamara Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Royal Caribbean International.

The Miami cruise port will soon be home to more Miami cruise ships. Beginning in November 2010, it will be the seasonal homeport to Celebrity Cruises Lines Celebrity Eclipse and in July 2010 the port will welcome Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Norwegian Epic. Costa Cruises will return to Miami in January 2011 with the Atlantica offering 7-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises.
