Back in 1976, the first ever Redland Festival was held. Like many Miami events, it has gone through quite a few changes in recent years, including a shorter name. It has also grown into being one of the biggest Miami events to hit the Fruit and Spice Park each year.

The Florida festival, which takes place on January 12th and 13th, kicks off 2008 right. It offers families the chance to spend a day exploring nature and getting up close and personal with animals. There are petting zoos, puppet and magic shows, as well as a large selection of Tropical plants. In addition, children will get to explore their creative side with arts and crafts events. And what Florida festival would be complete without getting the chance to see the signature animal, the alligator?  The reptile shows gives people a chance to learn about the different animals that inhabit the Everglades.

At only $6.00 a ticket (children under 13 free), there is no more affordable way to see all the Sunshine State has to offer. The event will be open on the above days from 10AM until 5PM. In addition, they will offer great food to help keep you going through a long day out.
