Miami Short Film Festival - 2008Miami Short Film Festival 2008 - Miami Florida Festivals The 2008 Miami Short Film Festival is back for its 7th Annual screenings in Miami. This brilliant addition to Miami Florida Festivals, founded in 2001 by CEO, William Vela, and produced by Miami’s Velart Productions, is committed to supporting independent filmmakers and best accommodating the world’s most creative filmmakers. The 2008 Miami Short Film Festival will take place from November 17th - 23rd and all category submissions will be accepted before September 15th.
For $13, guests can sneak a peek at daily international films of different categories including Animation, Documentaries, Experimental and Narrative. Screenings will be held at various Miami theaters still to be announced.
A $12,000 grand-prize will be awarded for the Best of Festival category winner, and other goods and services will be awarded to other category winners for Best Documentary, Best Experimental Film and Best Narrative Short Film. After the final event on the last day, a party will be held at the Big Fish Restaurant.
